I’m assuming this is a state-to-state thing; we drove our car (brand new, in IL) off the lot with plates on it.

Easy explanation.  When you trade in a car, you transfer the plates right there at the dealer.  I did it myself.

Seems unnecessarily complex. I’ve had one of these between my 99 and 02 Silverado for going on 14 years now. Lifetime warranty (got a new fabric, clamps and latch at about 8 or 9 years in - no questions asked).

Beat up used two door Wrangler. Get rock rails. No door dings - and you won’t care if you do get them.

Truly a glitch. Seattle always passes from the one-yard line.

How dependent is exit velocity on input velocity (pitch MPH)? Example, what if if he hit an 80 mph vs 88 mph, all other variables equal?

Ah yes, the younger crowd, the ones who could just about afford a used C5. Yes, this will surely be a smashing sales success!

Did the frame itself crack or did the cab simply brake free from the frame?

This. Only GM could make such a dumbass move as to make a mid-engine supercar and call it a Corvette. I mean if they’re too broke to make a Corvette and a mid-engine supercar, and they’re picking one which will have to carry the Corvette torch, and it’s the mid-engine one, then they deserve what’s coming.

It sounds like failure, the end of the Corvette line. Because everyone knows that Corvettes are front-engined V8s.

I would “Walk This Way” “To The Other Side” “If That’s What It Takes” to restore this van. Call me “Crazy” but “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”. “Dude” “This thing can “Come Together” with “Sweet Emotion” if we can get Steven Tyler “Back In The Saddle” of this old ride. Maybe I’m “Jaded” by “The Same Old Song and Dance”

“The over/under is 28.5? I’d be a fool not to take that action. Done.”

My guess is that she didn’t have GAP coverage, which is an expensive lesson. I can easily see a Kia like this losing half of the sales-price. Especially if the purchaser rolled-in some upside-down debt from a trade-in.

I really thought this was going to end in the dealer turning up either 4 clubs or 4 diamonds giving Labatt the flush, or a 9-10-J-Q giving Labatt and Zhu a split pot straight.

What a monster considering how many hands were reduced to heads-up with marginal cards. A 3-way pot with A-A, K-K and K-K to determine the final table is insanity.

Not calling the police when you're confronted with an erratic person with a weapon is a great way to get yourself killed. And what else did you want the cops to do here? Sounds like they secured the scene and then entered the residence to find that he had killed himself. How could they have prevented that?

I would tell anyone thinking of calling the cops on a loved one to think real hard before they dial, because once you do, at least where I was, you have officially ceded all control of the situation.

How about you put your prejudice to the side and stop being such an asshole.

but calling the police on an erratic possibly armed black male, is the best way to get him killed.

They may have loved nature, but they very clearly did not respect it
