Processing college applications isn't free. There are people that have to do data entry. People that have to review them. All of these people cost money. Also, charging what you think is a high application fee weeds out the students who aren't serious about attending the school. Without an application fee schools

I would have turned it in. I have this annoying problem with ethics.

Well played.

Dogs and Cats living together, mass hysteria. I'm just saying.

Are incandescent bulbs really the line in the sand that freedom loving Americans want to draw? I know, death by 1000 cuts, yada yada yada. This is the kind of thing that people from other countries that don't have our free society, must look at and roll their eyes.

You would need a car that didn't require a spark. It would need to have a carbeurator, not EFI. This adds up to diesel. Starts without a spark. It wouldn't work in very cold weather, but it would work. Also, steam engines or even steam cars. Why not? They had them in the beginning of the automobile age.

I got one of them 100% correct. My average was 78%.

You, sir, are a poet.

I don't find the new Jettas boring. I consider them to be elegant. I think a lot of the current crop of Japanese cars look cartoonish. I like my Jetta TDI and don't spend my whole day fondling the dashboard, so I'm not sure whether I care that it is made from hard plastic instead of cushy material.

My dad wants to buy a Honda Fit. I said he should look at the VW Golf or Jetta. He said that Consumer Reports gave great ratings to the Fit and poor ones to the VWs. Consumer Reports won.

Not to quibble, but wouldn't that be "Otterocracy?"

I am embarrassed to admit that back then I was given the choice of a TRS-80, An Apple II and a Commdore Pet and I chose—wait for it—the TRS-80. I told my parents I wanted the TRS-80 because I didn't think these Apple people would last. That said, I was able to teach myself Basic and set myself on the path to becoming

I had a Challenger and the gas prices were killing me so I bought a VW Jetta TDI, It looks pretty good, drives nice and I have yet to see less than 36 MPG per tank. Yes, diesel is more expensive than regular unleaded, but I can get 500 miles off 13 gallons of diesel versus 350 miles of of 16-18 gallons of regular.

Is it possible in the clip with Johnny Depp, that he is the Manic Pixie Dream Girl and not Juliette Lewis?

The idea of having stitches in my eye, no matter how beautiful, creeps me out. This is a bad thing since I have kerataconus and should get a corneal transplant, but have been avoiding it because of the whole cutting into my eye thing.

Was I the only one who caught their young daughter swinging on the stripper pole at the :54 mark? What is wrong with these people?

What exactly is "butte" naked? Is that where you are as naked as a conspicuous isolated hill with steep, often vertical sides and a small, relatively flat top?

I guess Creator isn't actually a "science fiction" movie, though the Peter O'Toole character is trying to clone his dead wife, so that kind of makes it sci-fi. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Well, I guess I don't need to write this application now. I have been thinking of doing this for a long time now. You can get the data from Weather.Com via their API and combining it with Google maps wouldn't have been too hard. I was just too lazy to do it.

I am riding my motorcycle from Boston to Milwaukee by way of the upper peninsula of Michigan. A visit to the Harley-Davidson museum and then a ferry trip across Lake Michigan and back home again.
