Wait, so they took an asphalt track and intentionally poured tons of dirt on it? Ehm... seems a bit counterproductive to all the effort and maintenance in keeping that asphalt in good condition for circuit racing.

You’re being very generous with the 90's last race he “won” was in 1984. 110% certain it was fixed to align the stars so he could hit win 200, have good old Regan in attendance, and all on the 4th of July.

This is a strawman however. The dealer groups are arguing no automaker (even ones without existing dealers) should be even allowed to sell direct by law. If having dealers were so good, these new manufacturers would choose to have them by default or would do so on their own accord after their stores failing. There is

Is there someone arguing for banning dealerships, or is that a straw man?  I hope some states get rid of the dealership laws and let everyone compete.  If they really do add so much value, they’ll have no trouble surviving.  If they’re just middlemen leeching money from both sides with little benefit to anyone,

The success of carmax and carvana etc proves your point about gladly paying more to not deal with some or all of the bullshit.

OK, I know you work at a dealership but I am going to just go ahead and give you my unvarnished opinion anyway. I’m sure you can take it.

What coin are you saving when the dealer orders the same part from the OEM? At best you pay the same price as ordering it yourself, just with more hassle. At worst you pay markup, with more hassle.

Just pay their asking price without question.

LOL some people would argue the price you’re haggling down to SHOULD BE the MSRP

You do realize that the amount you are haggling over is the difference between what the manufacturer charges the dealer for the car and wha the dealer charges you? That dealer is getting paid to be a middleman. And you think haggling with a middleman about his share is a benefit?

Will the project address Abdul-Jabbar’s brief but eventful stint as an airline pilot?

Look at all the insane shit male rockers/pop stars/rappers do to their families, themselves, their co-artists and fans and yet they remain in full control of their assets and lives. This has ALWAYS been a spit in every woman’s eye. When women choose to have kids a good portion of their freedom can be taken away.

A lot could be said about Chrissy being famous BECAUSE of her twitter, though. Prior to twitter, she was a very pretty model and I don’t think anyone thought of her outside of that, but she was so funny and (mostly) relatable on Twitter that she built her whole brand out of “that funny girl you want to be friends with

Yeah, aside from the general awfulness of social media it seems like being famous on social media carries its own particular brand of awfulness. If you ever look at the replies to a famous person’s tweets within the first five or so you will find (a) nasty, personal criticisms of the famous person that have nothing to

You mean poorly treated labourers produce inferior work? I’m SHOCKED.

Wouldn’t the extended cut of Watchmen beat out Justice League as longest superhero movie? I’m hardly a Snyder apologist, but I actually consider that version to be far superior to the one released in theaters.

Yeah, the hammer Disney holds is they could always say “Okay, well we’re releasing a cut where the whole MCU is one 50-hour movie. Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?

I have said this before, and it’s hardly a groundbreaking revelation or anything, but what people tend to forget is that contrary to expectations longer movies actually have to be incredibly, even ruthlessly efficient with how they tell their story and use their time. Because they’re asking for a much longer time

I get the sense at least part of the initial positive response is thanks to the power of:

When I was in high school, I had a teacher who told us: “If I give you a three page writing assignment, I’m going to knock off a letter grade for every page over three. After five, I stop reading and if you haven’t said what you need to say by then, you get an ‘F’.”
