You’re right but if he had called the police the gas station likely wouldn’t have been held liable. The problem here is he KNEW they were drunk, he SOLD them the gas to drive anyway, he did NOTHING like call the cops to stop them.

That’s what I find hilarious. Max might be the most aggressive driver in F1 and constantly puts other drivers in a spot where they have to slow down or hit him. I’m not saying this crash was Max’s fault but he certainly could have given Hamilton more space and avoided the accident.

Come on that’s a terrible understanding of what he wrote. He is not saying you have to physically stop the driver. The commenter and the court are saying you can’t aid the person in driving drunk. The clerk knew they were drunk and then buy selling them gas aided them in driving drunk. 

I think car manufacturers should be liable when someone buys a care that drives significantly faster than any legal speed limit then someone drives that car at excessive speeds and causes a wreak.  

No but they likely have a duty not to sell a car to a person who is actively drunk at the time of purchase of that person is going to drive it off the lots

I don’t mind the messaging but they probably should have hired at least one attorney/law student/law professor to help with the script. I don’t expect perfect accuracy but this movie was more unrealistic than just about any legal focused movie I’ve ever seen. How to get away with murder is also terrible in this way.

In short, Lee was a human being. At times he acted like an asshole other time he didn’t but people felt like he was being an asshole. This is also true for every human on earth.

More importantly it’s a flashback which very likely was remembered in the light most favorable to Booth AND the movie completely retcons one of the most well know events from the era. Literally non of the scenes depicted in the film ever happened. 

Tony and Christopher are blood related going back to their families in Italy. Carmela and Chris are directly related. Tony is an older male “mentoring” a younger male, many cultures call that relationship Uncle/nephew.
