But a screen, even in ‘nighttime mode’, is emitting light even with no light on the camera’s sensor. Just because the pixels are off doesn’t mean light isn’t leaking through.

Agreed. Was riding behind a new Sierra Denali with the camera rear view and my wife got so close I could see fine into the truck to see what that driver saw. Yes the camera eliminated the “blind spots” created by the rear of the cab, but the camera was fixed on the tailgate, so the angle would change depending on the

Replacing a reflective piece of glass with a bunch of electronics prone to distortions sounds like exactly the kind of dumb decision car companies would push for.  Can’t have anything that’s cheap and simple and reliable.

As a Volkswagen owner, I really don’t want to rely on electronics for visibility.

As a complement to actual mirrors, this is great. Some new cars will project the side camera image into the gauge cluster or info screen, and that’s super. But getting rid of the mirror is a terrible idea. Camera circuitry can fail. The screen the image is displayed to can fail. Software can be buggy and crash.

I’m 47 so even with a backup camera in my car I still use my mirrors and/or look over my shoulder. I also run a technology business so I love gadgets. I’m torn about this.

On one hand, I can see this technology providing people with a clearer view, reducing blind spots, and providing additional information not

These aren’t Walmart tires, Sumitomo makes some really solid tires.

“if you buy off-brand shit tires “

he makes sure his digital tire gauge reads exactly the psi its supposed to so its not .5psi off and he ends up losing control and hitting a curb and a crowd.

The S65 and S85 engines from the E9X/E6X M3 and M5 are more notorious for it, but failed rod bearings are also an issue on the S62.  Getting oil analysis done and replacing the rod bearings as soon as copper shows up in the analysis is honestly just part of doing good maintenance on them

They can if all of the measurements are within the normal range.

I’m a former super-spy who’s trying to keep a low profile in Miami while also not spending a whole bunch of money, I need a car that doesn’t draw a crowd, can be used to transport people or things easily, and, most of all, blends in with its surroundings.

I always felt Skylar White’s Jeep Grand Wagoneer was the only vehicle in Breaking Bad that was out of place. These things have reached classic status, selling for $30-50K, and Walt/Skylar were supposed to be a struggling middle-class family. Maybe prices had bottomed out in the time period from the show, idk.

You went through all that trouble and you didn’t put in a 2" hitch?

Subjectivity and all that, but I don’t agree at all with it looking “awesome”.  It looks far too upright when viewed from the front, and the lines does not naturally flow into the rest of the car.  Maybe the “production” versions will be better integrated, but as it stands I find the F1 halo, and the aeroscreen that

0-60 times are just a part of the story. If you want a GT350 you problably gonna do more than 60mph, and also track events. Is this case the 350 is faster :)

>$600 for a coat

Great idea. You didn’t want to bring a passenger anyway.
