Well it really depends on your situation. Do you haul around 4 kids and want them to be in a safe vehicle? Especially with how much some vehicles since the small overlap test was created a few years ago.

Nope. Maybe my mind just ignores them as ads, but they’re never a big deal around here.

IL, WI, and MD. I just cut the cord on cable last year, but before that we used a DVR and fast forwarded through commercials. I usually don’t hear about elections coming up until the day of, and I try to go after work if I don’t have any conflicting plans.

I service it myself, except for one time that I brought it in to read the CEL. They found it was a sensor inside the DEF tank that went bad. Currently the NOX sensor also needs to be replaced,. Everything besides the diesel emissions equipment has been 100% reliable.

Sorry, but. I miss the midterms every time because I never know when they’re going on. It must be a regional thing.

Agreed. We bought my wife a x3 M-sport and it’s awesome. We went with the 28i thinking it would get better fuel mileage, but it doesn’t :/

I had similar requirements as you two years ago and I wound up with a 2011 x5 diesel with a 3rd row. I’m up to 110k miles, and it has been very reliable. Only issues I’ve had were a few sensors related to the diesel emissions.

Last year we picked up a 2014 BMW x3 M-Sport for my wife for about $30k. Amazing deal since her previous car (CR-V) was more expensive.

they often do report on Technology in sports

Well I guess there’s no reasoning with you. Good luck with reading politics on your automotive blogs, baseball news in your iPhone reviews, and dear diary entries in your Yelp reviews.

Go look at the Jalopnik facebook page for the political Jez post they shared today. Every comment there is hanging them out to dry for this shit.

There was never as much political cross-posting as there has been the last 6 months. Tons of people have dropped from Jalopnik’s RSS and Facebook feeds for this reason. Opposite Lock contributors have even created there own Facebook groups to only share automotive news, not politics.

Well, politics do not have a place on a car blog unless the content is directly associated with cars, and it is written from a NEUTRAL point of view. There is no room here for the super left-leaning opinion pieces that have been getting cross-posted to Jalopnik. Many of use would feel the same way if they posted

If the content is plane/boat/military tech related there are few complaints. The one-sided opinion pieces that have been getting cross-posted absolutely do not belong here.

Same for me - BMW x5

I think the current pricing continues to increase because people are realizing they’re the only “exotic” car that you can buy with next to no maintenance cost.

I completely agree that his “reviews” are rubbish. Every video he tries so hard to be funny and witty, but comes off as an “edgy 13 year old”.

The Subaru’s AWD system is light years better, but the CR-V beats in every other category.

The AWD system is pretty much useless if it’s the same system as the last gen.

I have an X5 with a third row for those rare occasions that we are need to go somewhere with 6 people and don’t want to take 2 cars. It works well for that, but it’s pretty cramped for any regular use.
