I dunno, my x5 diesel is pretty awesome.

The Tiguan was too small and way too overpriced to be competitive. My wife and I shopped every CUV/SUV on the market and the Tiguan was close to the bottom of our list.

That just seems so foreign to me. I’ve lived in a lot of states between the East coast and midwest, and everybody just does it in person.

We had one for a year or two, but it just wasn’t for us. 6 light adults would cause the rear suspension to bottom out :(

I would almost like it, but that stupid windshield is unforgivable. Who needs the sun blinding them in the face all the time.

Once again, that is just speculation since it never happened. Your case seems to imply that all 3 US manufacturers and their parts suppliers would go bankrupt and cease to exist. Someone would take advantage of all of these resources and contract with the companies and skilled workers, especially from other mechanical

I still don’t think that would get anywhere near 40%.

Do you have any sources for that 40%? That seems obscenely high to me. I only know one person that has ever voted through the mail, everyone else goes down and does it in person.

Of course GM would use that argument, they were trying to be bailed out...

I really wanted to like the movie, but it was just terrible. I’m glad I didn’t pay to see it in the theaters.

While all of that is just wild speculation, those companies should look at their business model if they aren’t diversified enough to withstand one of their clients going under.

My ‘11 WRX averaged 17mpg. Comparatively, my Rx8 got 18, and my Evo got 16.

Recover within a week? No. They would have recovered though.

Those jobs would have recovered.

4th Gear: My BMW x5 still doesn’t have its replacement airbag yet either. I got the notice in February.

I’m in SE WI. Up until 2-3 years ago I saw lots of 3rd gens on the road, but they have completely disappeared. Every once in a while I’ll see a really clean 2nd gen out and about, but it’s pretty rare.

I think a Scion xB is actually a better hauler, unless you need that 6th seat.

There’s none around here anymore that are pre 2001 models. If I do see one, they’re barely holding together. Rust is a bitch.

The suspension also can’t handle heavy loads. The rear tires will bottom out
:(

I live in the rust belt too, and you can’t even find a Chrysler minivan from before 2000 on the road anymore.
