This is partially why, and the overall cost delta is not far off, so if you have tio have one swiss army knife type car, a truck with 4 doors and fuel economy with in 2-4 mpg.

Question is do you like Pickup trucks, not the people that are driving them.

Listening? LOL. The Great Wall of Indifference is currently where it’s at in corporate America. Corporations need to be MADE to do what it right.  They just are not going to get there on their own.

You must be new around here. This entire network of sites was built on heavy handed subjectivity. Perhaps you might like to browse ttac.com?

I don’t understand why I have to keep reiterating this. They work, they just flash in a color that the poors can’t perceive.

I’m convinced its as simple as trucks don’t make sense in Brooklyn (to them) so they don’t make sense anywhere.

About a zillion years ago I had an ‘80s full size Chevy truck. I could reach over the side of the bed and put things in or take things out. I could also take a big step and pretty much walk into the bed.  Very useful and handy.

LOL, yah, it was like “hey I want to be a Subaru Baja!”

What if we made a pickup that was punched in the face at birth, then strapped Chrysler Windsor quarter panels around the bed?

Neutral: I always considered the 1st Gen Avalanche, with its Aztek family styling cues to be pretty awful.

Toyota just really wanted a Half-Ton Solara pickup

Neutral: Toyota Tundra StepSide

Here’s the deal with that - the people (mostly men I’m assuming) who want luxurious trucks don’t want a luxury badge because it’s not “manly” enough. So as a result you have $80k high end trim levels on very common half ton pickups which these same people are happy to buy.

I’m still wondering why Lincoln and Cadillac don’t make a super premium pickup.  Could you imagine the stampede of people to get a 108 month loan on a new Mark LT.
