I would say every movie they’ve made, except maybe Hop, could be described as a huge hit, especially relative to their budgets. Their biggest disappointment was Secret Life of Pets 2 because it “only” made $430mil as opposed to the near $900mil of the first, but that’s still a pretty decent profit for an $80mil movie.

This site is so badly designed. I tabbed back to this, read it and saw there were no comments. So before moving on I refreshed it to see if anyone had a funny take on these CGI creatures.

Harry Belafonte: Patriot”

Well he sure as hell earned it. Also, while it may seem odd to single out a person’s Muppet Show appearance in their obituary, it really is a phenomenal episode. Belafonte was a natural in front of the camera, the musical numbers are great, and he meshed with the Muppet performers like few

Probably because you’re very very stupid.

This deserves top comment for skillfully calling out AVC for stirring the pot (though it’s maybe more clearly meant to be sarcastic here than in the one about Little Mermaid?) and lack of editors.

Editing your own works is not censorship. Conflating the two is a means to make people more comfortable with the latter. Y’all need to stop it.

I agree completely with your response. It happened with Adam last season and its happening with Shauna’s baby this season. Sometimes things just happen and that is not bad storytelling. Obviously that is an opinion so if anyone disagrees that is ok too.

If there’s not, let’s make one up: like “Oops-my-baditing”

Though Dahl did edit his own books to fit the times when he was alive.

I’ll never forget the spate of guy-losing that followed the release of ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’.

Making the planet habitable is actually more important than already rich people making even more money. The film is excellent btw.

I generally agree with you, but what about this system is related to deck building besides the superficial use of “cards” to symbolize what is essentially just a list of collectible perks? The game is an RPG. It feels like you’re dismissing an RPG element just because it communicates the element through cards.

I’ve never really run into them; do they differ much from equipment or “slot” mechanics?

we all thought that at one time or aother. but then we played a deck game and enjoyed it.

Cool.

Thank you.

That’s really interesting, but I think the difference is that Guinness was one of the main characters while Jack Black was just cast in a distracting cameo.

Take yourselves off that cross, AVClub.

Others want to place their own embargo on publications (even if said publication did not publish follow-up stories until well into the next day, unlike others)
