I’m not so sure that’s true; having trouble finding any mention of the term that predates like 2019 or so, and few articles prior to 2016 that express such exhaustion.

The Marvel backlash has been going on for six or seven years. They just finally got a movie that fully aligned with their point.

This is kind of a weird fight, no?

1) invent problem

I’m guessing the “writer” didn’t like the show and decided to ALSO tear Eugene Levy down. What is going on with this site? Oh and the “review” was so overwritten it bordered on satire. But not the good kind.

Oh yeah, it was like a Stan Brakhage film

Was it really an ‘uproar’ or was it a small number of people who were then given a larger platform because of the articles being written about their Tweets?

Welp, calling your audience too stupid to get the movie is an approach, I guess.

Asking us to watch it was too much.

Huh, this is timely, considering I just watched it for the first time last weekend.

“Whenever Mr. Potato Head’s not on screen, Buzz should be asking, ‘Hey, where’s Mr. Potato Head?’”

“its a cult film if i say it is!”
-Ang Lee

go cry about it if it upsets you so much

I admire your principle.

Dang do you really fold like a table and start calling people names when they disagree in real-life conversations too?

Aw, shit, now you’re on my gatekeepin’ patch!

If it was cult there would be regular screenings at revival houses. There aren’t.

It’s nighttime in the big city... and Ellen Barkin is still pretty great.

She was terrific in Poker Face. Reading the HuffPo article, I’m baffled anyone thought she was unattractive. What that producer said and what Harold Becker did are infuriating. If I had been a random guy on set, free to speak my mind because I wasn’t working there, I’d have yelled at those assholes.
