don’t forget literally every non-performance category
I felt like the article was less negative about Short and more using a (typical of slate) hyperbolic headline to then describe his career of playing obnoxious cads.
It’s a great show! Did a rewatch after Rip Torn passed a few years back. Sanders and the writing staff were showbiz vets at that point and definitely cribbing heavily from firsthand experience.
lol “I’m not bothering to read about this” is a pretty dismissive take in its own right
“Instead of learning anything about this topic I’ve just remembered some jokes from a thirty year-old sitcom” is extremely relatable but maybe worth keeping to oneself.
...that’s pretty much exactly the reason I thought: it’s not a commercially available product. The “writer” clearly submitted the song for attention and clout, knowing full well it was a dead end but a dead end the media would breathlessly attend to.
Trust me, we weren’t taking it seriously then either. The show may have moved into a more overtly silly, campy tone, but it was always silly and campy.

I’m sure we’ll get a ten-ep Carson Teva miniseries explaining exactly how he came to join the New Republic fleet. Must secure the canon!
I’ve heard about two of the three breakups you mentioned and never realized we were calling it that; I just googled it and got two hits from this year (excluding this article), some from ‘21, and a tonna hits from 2016 for some reason.
Fine. I’ll bite: “summer of splits?”
You’re checking out now that they’ve reached their 80s?
The fact that it’s a follow-up to A Bigger Bang doesn’t bode well.
