To me, that’s all of these faux pas; sure, people could tighten it up a bit, but I’m never waiting for a checkout kiosk for more than a minute or two. Even at Target, where they really force you into checking yourself out.

Big ol’ yup. Maybe I’m just in a smart neighborhood or something (unlikely), but while a lot of these “no-nos” are familiar to me, none of them delay my trip more than a minute or two.

It’s a job that requires a couple hours of training. Thing is, very few people have that couple hours of training.

Wow all this stuff boils down to “everyone but me is slow and dumb;” turn this on its head and imagine everyone is thinking these same things while you are doing self-checkout and your first thought will be “why’s everyone so freaking impatient? I’m only one person!”

Man, after seven and a half episodes of a show that was decidedly not Justified, I felt kinda insulted by that ending. City Primeval was (for better or worse) completely disinterested in revisiting the past, and while I think it failed at its mission, that mission was more to look at Raylan now and interrogate whether

...I don’t at all get the impression she’s tired of people talking about it. If anything, it sounds like she’s very intent that people talk about her fashion and ask themselves why it is all that big of a deal. She doesn’t seem dismissive or tired of that conversation at all, and more power to her.

Man, even in the books Ginny is barely a character. You really feel Rowling go “and Harry fell and love and lived happily every after with oh...let’s say Ginny.”

Accusations of blathering nonsense from the guy who thinks tossed salad goes with scrambled eggs???

Really living up to your username huh

There’s a four-hour version of most movies. It’s called the assembly cut. It’s always so goofy when people breathlessly conflate that for some unfairly squashed hidden masterpiece.

It’s stunning how the user experience on this site gets worse and worse by the week. When I pull this page up on my phone, it reloads constantly (often in the middle of writing a comment, wiping out my progress), links to articles open external affiliates in new tabs instead of the article, videos play with sound

It blows my mind; I was thinking the same thing about Santana last week. I think part of holding these shitty, hateful beliefs is thinking we’re on the precipice of ruin, and society will crumble if nobody says something; a big part of this hateful rhetoric is a feeling of oppression and panic.

In light of the strange wave of transphobes recently I’d like to propose we build a giant toilet to flush them down. Fred Durst style.

I know! It’s so frustrating that they’re all independently choosing to do this. It’s not like there’s any pressure to stay young-looking and flawless; everyone accepts a woman looking like she’s over 30 except the woman herself!

Lotta salty old people in the comments forgetting how old you think you are when you turn 30, but it really is a system shock: you spend your 20s thinking you’re an adult but still acting like and being treated like a teenager. Around 30 people start treating you like a regular adult, and one bad night of sleep can

It’s just part of the cycle we all go through.

Maybe it’s just the editing of the trailer, maybe it’s the title font that reminds me of the Clockstoppers poster, but that is not the tone I’d expect for something based on that story.

Now I’m just thinking of the infinite possibilities of who to recast with JB Smoove. I guess he could be Emily’s second husband.

I kind of like the clumsiness of always referring to twitter that way; it just underlines how shitty of a business decision it is. Kinda like when they renamed the city “Hollywoo” in Bojack Horseman because they couldn’t afford to replace the D.

I thought I’d loop back on this since reading it earlier in the day; an actual journalistic outlet which researches topics and digs further than “people are saying,” Vox, has some information about Braun taking on duties as the CEO of the company which bought his parent company. Earlier this year he announced he’d be
