White people aren’t any different than their parents, grandparents or any of their colonizing ass ancestors. They know that their lives wouldn’t be as rich or relatively safe without centuries of war, terrorism, slavery and genocide.

Fuck that. Some jackass shows up at my house because I said their service was bad is likely to either catch these hands or a shotgun blast, depending on who’s home and who answered the door (my wife can’t fight, but you give her a 12 gauge and end of story).

Michael, I always love your pieces, because of your biting wit and your amazing writing ability. This piece, however, transcends everything else you have written.

I think white people figure that the best way to “solve racism” is to pretend it doesn’t exist. Or, if we’re being slightly more generous, to acknowledge it’s existence...and then pretend it doesn’t exist.
