My favorite Kerouac novel was always Big Sur. He was at his lowest with addiction and it’s probably his stream of consciousness at its best. The novel is rambling and nonsensical at times, but his pain is evident. And his poem/epic at the end? Wonderful.

This happened to me in Italy when I was 14 or 15! I was wearing a Roma scarf into a restaurant and the waiter was, let’s just say, not a Roma fan. After yelling at me in Italian for awhile, he came back out with a Lazio scarf for me to wear while I was there.

I suppose I have to comment on this one. The Prime games on GameCube are still of my two favorite titles of all time. Seamlessly changing Metroid from a 2D game into an FPS was an incredible feat. I still remember standing inside of EB playing the 20 minute demo over and over again before it came out.
