I, for one, really enjoyed the Rush engine (which was also used in Unleashed, Generations, and Colors). It really captured what Sonic should be, and had very solid mechanics. Boosting was crazy cool in those games, and the fact that you had to earn the Boost meter in certain ways made it fun.

I actually remember a good number of early PS1 games using Cross for confirm and Triangle for cancel. It really threw me off while playing them again, because I got used to Circle for cancel for North American games.

Doesn’t the North American dub(s) change up the iamb of Kamehame-ha for no reason, making it the rather strange-sounding “Ka-maya-maya wave”?
