I’m here-ish but I’m not sure if it’s worth making a non-burner account to merge with my old account (which didn’t have a lot of action, anyway). Also, since I had a legacy AV Club account, I don’t think that there’s a merge option available yet, anyway (right?).

A question for fellow people who were still using legacy AV Club accounts: When making a Kinja profile, did you just give in and create a Kinja account that is connected through Facebook or Twitter? From the article posted yesterday, I understand that I won’t be able to merge my old AV Club account to a burner Kinja…

A friend of mine did that for me once with the first episode of Futurama, except in a much tinier resolution. I set it as my avatar on a message board that allowed those to be animated GIFs. If Ilet it run, it would eventually crash my browser (this was about 15 years ago) but nobody ever called me out on it.
