So do most of the dogs in shelters. How do you think they end up there? That’s why you’ll find purebreeds like beagles, or chihuahuas, or the special trendy crossbreeds like cockapoos, etc. People buy dogs from breeders thinking they’ll be the perfect dog - for work, play, etc. but when it’s not what they expected…

I have no doubt of that. A well bred one in competent hands is a beautiful thing. But so few people are equipped for a dog with that much territorial aggression. And I see way too many people choosing breeds by looks and what is currently in vogue. And too many pretty fairy tales being told by unethical breeders.

The owners are dog breeders. Good luck in whichever animal shelter you end up in, sweet puppies. Here’s hoping they’re no kill shelters, which is highly unlikely. And good luck to Bailey, who might face another high risk pregnancy so that her humans can make cash.

Um... I want to be all “squee!” and “lookitdapuppehs!” but that’s a breed that maybe .001% of the dog owning population can handle. Gonna be difficult to find good, appropriate homes for all of them.

Does she honestly think it makes a lick of difference to rape survivers if the person who assaulted them was “nice” to other people?!?

It’s the 17% problem. If a crowd has 17% women, men believe the gender division is 50/50.

I can see the basis for complaint. Women didn’t even exist until the 1960s, so it’s really a disservice to cover them at all. It is a history podcast, after all, and history was written by us white men.
