Where have you been in Germany? I’ve travelled there many times and NEVER had any problems with my visa or Mastercard cards. You can even buy a 1€ coffee with a card nowadays.

When I was 9-10 years old a very nice stewardess served me a glass of champagne, I thought that it was just some apple soda but when I tasted it it was horrible and I had to spit it out. Some years after that accident I realized how lucky (and stupid) I was. The airline was Air France.
