I also am generally against manufactured non-sense. This movie is not that. Obviously they fictionalized the details of every day life, but they handled the subject matter without being heavy handed on the sentimentality, discounting the discrimination, or shortchanging the women who were called computers.

I think he is actually fomenting a civil war, but a foreign terrorist attack will do just as well for his purposes in destabilizing the country.
