I got the character names mixed up. I was thinking of Frank Langella's character - their handler.

Ahh I missed that. It just hit me when I was watching this week's episode. I expected more reaction from him.

He also had a scene with Martha where she asks how did it go referring to the visit with the investigator. He replies he was in there for 3 hours. That was the set-up to him being the accused of treason.

My theory is that Pastor Tim and his wife are Russian spies assigned (by Hans) to test Paige's loyalty and to test the Jennings family as a whole. I also didn't see when they bugged the Church.
