Are they doctors? I would think desire to be right would trump deferring to the NFL due to a paycheck. Plus negligence in identifying possible concussions, to me at least, would seem to be potential grounds to be held responsible by whatever their professional discipline system is (as a doctor, not NFL)

I think that's an aspect of Fallout 3 vs New Vegas (where 3 is superior) — you recognize the DC landmarks and that is cool, whereas New Vegas has no real connection to what you know about/recognize in actual Las Vegas. It loses that connection to something in real life and is just a fictional setting.

I would add, having just started listening to Reality Show Show, that it is very good right from the start if you are a fan of HH.
