I’ve used Shure In-ear monitors (which come with foam tips) instead of active noise-cancelling earbuds. No battery charging needed, doesnt put a weird pressure in your ear. I find it blocks out noise just as well, and I can leave it in for 14+hour flights and not feel uncomfortable

I reckon you also have the heat dissipation from the battery pack / motors, which has a cooling system for itself. I'm sure that helps with cabin heat as well, similar to an IC car
