Agreed. I still get a few cuts and some razor burn, but it’s less than I ever had with cartridge razors. The big plus for me is the price though. At ~10 cents per blade, shaving only once or twice a week, and using each blade 3 or 4 times, one $10 box will last me at least 3 or 4 years.

Exactly. I switched to a safety razor a year ago, and I have knicked myself less in that year, even while learning to use it, then I would do in a week with a crappy mach 3 which just clogged, and left me with a 5 o’clock shadow.

I use one of those razors that are pictured in this article. It saves me a lot of money and it is relatively easy to clean. Just make sure that your face is very warm (AKA lather) before shaving to avoid cuts. Still, this is very good info to know. Thanks!
