The Bowers gang at least seem counter-culture. The kids that make up the Losers (most of them) have really traditional parents, and they’re young enough that the parents would enforce that traditionalism on them. Especially with Eddie and Bev’s family. But the older teenage antagonists definetly look grunge/punky.

Nope. Older scripts tried to at least reference how they got lost, and shorthanded it to Beverly putting her hands on their faces, and saying she loved them one by one. But that’s just kinda silly even at that point.

Given how much this franchise fucks with the timeline through the Further, they’ll write some sort of half-assed way to pull it off.
