And a 50 story marshmallow man isn’t jumping the shark? In comedy, you get nothing BUT sharks.

You really need to relax. You’re being a jerk just telling me the movie I enjoyed shouldn’t exist. If you hated the film, fine, but don’t take it out on innocent people like me.
Critically it’s doing just fine. The PR disaster and the hate-tank of the internet really is what crippled it’s box office numbers. Not to mention the whole china-ban thing they were hoping to sneak past.
You could use academic standards via film study.
To quote Murray “Nobody wants to see some fat old men get back in the suits again.” I love the original movie, even vaguely like the second. But I love the new one too, and I’m glad I can watch it as it’s own thing without the sinking feeling of let-down that the second movie gave me. I’ve actually watched the reboot…
I didn’t even know about Manga or the Japanese nature of anime till I was about 11 or 12. Until that point, dubbed anime was just a thing that I watched on TV, with no sense that it was any different than the other cartoons I watched day to day. Okay, I sensed something a little strange in Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball,…
Is anyone else getting the feeling this is less a case of white washing, and more a case of another appeasement to China? Between this, Ghostbusters, cut content from XV, and who knows what else coming, China’s joining the entertainment audiences of the world world feels like your kid bringing a friend home who is a…
Ambition really is the true defining feature of Slytherine. Unfortunately the criteria means casting aside anything and anyone if it’s neccisary to do so,
It ain’t a joke. I’m moving far, far, faaaar up north with relatives rather than stay in this shit hole any longer. Detroit sucks.
People couldn’t care less about what you think of those streamers. Everyone has an audience somewhere. Shoo.
Yeeesh. Bit dour there.
Suicide Squad is one of those baffling “Well, I liked it, but I don’t want it again” type movies. It’s fun, but it’s such a chaotic mess that if you spend any time thinking about it at all, you start to turn against it. So it’s hard to praise it via word of mouth, or even review it, so the PR for this movie sort of…
Gotham is the closest to that sweet spot The Animated Series had, where it could be dark but absurd with hints of the supernatural here and there. After Batman Returns, none of the films after ever quite got there again, and the Nolan trilogy doesn’t even try (For good )
To be fair, (although my DC knowledge is limited) most of the collateral damage isn’t from Batman, given his sort of major lack of super powers. So really it’s more cashing on Supes carelessness (Which depends on the given series). But growing up with Batman The Animated Series as my main impression of The Bat, he’s…
Although I’m new, none of the Sentai series seem to really be connected, hence why there are some really strange sudden departures of characters in the U.S adaptations, be it the villains or actual rangers themselves.
After starting to watch actual Sentai series, I have to scratch my head over how we in the U.S got cheated out of a cool show that I honestly don’t think would have been that hard to dub and send over here.
I feel a nagging obligation to say it every time I see it: I hate Cloud’s hair in the remake.
Are you saying white parents can’t be douchey?
Nope, he just vanishes into Silent Hill to pretend he’s James Sunderland in a butchering of SH2 thankfully nobody is ever going to make.
So I’ve built up an intense interest in Sentai series now, but I have noooo idea where to start. Any suggestions?
