Every genre and media goes through this. For my own paticular genres, horror and radio, we had similar thoughts. Everyone thought by the time Freddy’s Dead and Jason Goes to Dead came out, we were seeing the death of slashers and modern horror, quite literally killing off our villains for good.

Ovens and broilers are dangerous to people like me with ADHD. Never, ever, ever cook without a timer set on your phone.

I feel like this could be the next wave of unsettling Silent Hill imagery, the way ‘shakey head’ techniques were the trademark of the first series. I’d like to see horror games play around with this kinda stuff.

Jason never quite worked that way. Closest is Tommy Jarvis chopping him in the head. The fact though is he IS susceptible to dismemberment as proven by Jason Goes to Hell, where they DO in fact kill him.

There was in fact a fanmade fighting game featuring all of the slasher greats. But it got nailed with C&D, and never got beyond a very basic alpha. It was tragic.

Considering its the Remake Freddy, I’m happy to see him gone. Nothing should ever be done to praise that awful movie.
