Juggling that real estate stuff is so stressful, let alone everything else. I hope you get some down time soon.

I made Gateau Breton with apricot filling and it came out so well! Next time I think I will garnish it with sliced almonds
This would explain why I normally patient and seeing all sides to a fault am really cranky and more prone to be confrontational (?). Confrontational is too strong a word but I can’t find another. I feel much less obligation to be accommodating to people lately. Perhaps that’s just mental fatigue over... everything…
I do that the same way I did it IRL in the before times. “Hey we’re getting together after.... for ...”
In that case, they are most definitely assholes.
OK, you need a column.
I suppose if it’s a mild enough, maybe outdoor dining could work? Although, even with heat lamps & blankets or whatever I bet that food would get cold & unpalatable awfully fast. In some areas it’s probably just not possible. Just getting through sloppy, snowy, icy parking lots to get inside is a challenge, let alone…
In my experience, most will shoo you out of the way if you try.
I think that the folks doing this are getting picked up at the exit. A lot of stores don’t have cart storage there.
I’ve never left it closed but rather open a crack. I’ve assumed that the sterno needs the air to stay lit. It really is quite handy though and functions just like a burner. Once stuff is heated, I do close the oven door and the residual heat keeps things warm for long enough for the family to get in and grab some.
I am hearing this sentiment reported elsewhere too. He’s not religious but he’s appointing people into courts and other key positions that promote evangelical agendas. Ironically, the religious folks are making a deal with the devil.
I usually make cookies or some kind of grab & go sweet. A lasagna cut into foil wrapped portions. A dozen or so rolls. A couple of breakfast sandwiches. I use my oven to make a burner for sterno. Sterno can on the bottom rack, saucepan on the rack just above it. That heats soups, water for coffee/tea/dishes. With a…
“Where are this child’s parents” - while I understand the sentiment and the inferences, it does little to support holding him accountable for his own behavior.
I am so out of touch with the RHONY (haven’t watched since Carole’s first season) that I thought that pic was an old photo of Rosemary Clooney.
Insert giggling gif here ______.
I get that. My spouse is a shorts guy too-including the time he thought that wearing them to my grandmother’s funeral would be fine because, hey, they’re black? No. His preference is denim carpenter shorts or khaki cargo shorts for “dressier” occasions. He’s got pretty beefy legs but I can see how the swinging &…
Noted for my food bank contributions. Thanks for the suggestion.
I was in the same situation you’re in both as a kid and an adult. I’ve relaxed a little now that I’m older. My kids are adults and they find my prepackaged purchase wasteful. It’s a heritage thing I guess.
This is an excellent point.
I’m ok with the cargo shorts. Dudes need somewhere to stash their stuff and most do not carry a purse.
