The Grom is dominant in a niche market segment. Kawasaki is the only other major manufacturer who competes in the 125 space. But the 125 segment, as a whole, is small. So I probably would’ve been wiser to say “The 125 segment” has barely caught on.

This is the kind of thing that a niche group of people would buy immediately upon release, and then sales would be terrible in the US. The Grom has barely even caught on.

“Imma let you finish...”
I needed a new daily a couple of months ago and had similar requirements. I leased a 2020 Civic Si for $205/mo with $1,000 down. 36 months, 12,000 miles., and all maintenance costs are included. At the end of 3 years I’ll be down exactly $8,380...the downside is ridiculously low.
Very true. Despite being on Jalopnik, it wasn’t clear to me that we were necessarily addressing the auto industry, specifically. The auto manufacturers’ limited ability to hoard cash has more to do with the unions than Wall Street, imo.
We have a culture and a market that punishes large corporations for cash-on-hand.
Alright Ford, might as well just go ahead and reveal the Bronco in its entirety digitally, now. Please.
There are two kinds of Fernet. Both are great. Fernet Branca and Fernet Menta.
If they put out at least a trim level that can tow 7,000+ lbs, I’m in.
Detroit auto show is in the summer for the first time this year. I’m expecting to see it then.
The biggest similarity between this concept and that one is that they’re both awesome.
Spec Miata has entered the chat.
Worth noting that you can get into a Civic Si for $22k, which has a manual and LSD. Obviously not a hatch and it has significantly less power, but just pointing out the Civic’s competitiveness on other trim levels.
I feel the need to note that I’m 28, have a Porsche Boxster, a motorcycle, and I’m marrying a dentist in May. There’s no point to this comment. This has just been a really weird thread for me.
Damn I really thought this was going to be about the death of Kinja for a minute. Seeing Alanis go is actually disappointing. Take Kinja with you!
This whole fad peaked for me when I got stuck driving around a Hertz rental Challenger that still had them attached.
Haha I think you missed my point, a bit. I was hoping my S would be the last of the NA flat six S models, because it impacts resale value. New cars are always better in terms of performance, but take a look at air-cooled 911s for an example of the residual concern that I had.
As a 981 owner, this is not good news. I feel like an extremely poor version of a 911R owner. It was supposed to be the last one!
Not the logoI was expecting from you, $Kaycog
