The problem is that everyone would rather have a Clownshoe...they’re way more expensive.

The article specifically notes that the Z3 was gorgeous. But Patrick posted the original Z4.

Haha I get teased by my girlfriend for choosing the 981 for its “practicality” over its competition. Glad to see someone else choose an even less practical car than mine for practicality’s sake.

Eh, mine is a daily driver, and the 718 still kicks the pants of any of those as a Daily. 4C doesn’t have a manual, either.

I’ve lost about $3,000 in value over the last 18 months and 20,000 miles. Really beat the hell out of mine :). I doubt it will ever see *crazy* value, but I don’t think it will hit basement prices as earlier Boxsters have. Mine has some special options that make it closer to a GTS, which helps.

As a 981 S owner, I disagree. Will say, though, that I’ve considered taking advantage of that strong residual value to trade for a 718. Test drove one and just couldn’t get past the sound, given how similar the rest of the car is.

Can you do one with the LED headlights on the 991.2? I’ve thought before that it would look amazing that way.

I guess we’ll have to ask Jon Olsson. He knows a thing or two about driving his hot wife through the Alps in an R8. Doesn’t make the R8 any less awesome, though. Quite the opposite, actually.

I have a buddy with a 997 Turbo Cab. At the time, he chose it over the R8 because there is no Audi community to speak of, and he loved what PCA was all about.

Counterpoint: This is a terrible take.

That would actually be awesome.

I’ma let you finish, but the best looking GT from that era wasn’t a “Grand Tourer”, at all.

I also have an r53! We have similar tastes, for sure.

Most new cars have them hidden as a function of the blinker stalk. My ‘05 Mini Cooper S and ‘14 Boxster S both work this way. To illuminate the lights on the left side, I pull the blinker stalk as if signaling to the left (down) after shutting the car off.

There is quite a bit missing from this comment. You’re paying $170/mo on a car that’s worth ~$5k. What’s the interest rate? If you bought in 2016 and are planning to pay it off this year, you’re looking at a total cost of between $6,120 and $8160. What’s the term of the loan, though? Are you paying it off early?

People make fun of the 370Z Nismo all the time....

60's were peak time. Creation of the 911..the Miura...the db5...the 250 California...the muscle cars...Stingray Corvette...the days of Steve McQueen, Richard Petty, Jackie Stewart, Carroll Shelby, and Lee Iacocca. I could go on.

I’ll be upset if you don’t.

I’m talking the full setup, because anyone who needs to watch this video is sticking to OEM everything. But you’re correct.

In my experience, you should be fine. As usual, a fluid change might be in order, especially after the track day, but I haven’t had any problems with lines/brakes/rotors. Surprised to hear that about your M4, though.
