I wouldn’t call it ugly, but I also wouldn’t shell out for a Volvo that looks like this, with other “newer” models sitting around it on the lot.

Genuinely didn’t think they made this anymore. The entirety of the design language is a generation old. I would wait for an update, given what the V90 looks like, inside and out.
I think the flatback is awesome, but I’d be really interested to see the aerodynamic effect it has. It’s probably horrendous.
Good Kinja.
That’s an option. Or, you can get whatever wheel/tire combo that you want and allow Tesla to spend 2 seconds making an adjustment twice per year.
You mean Mustang GT shouldn’t even be considered in that price territory, right? Because the GT350 seems like great value for the $, and the GT is a steal at $35k.
Looks good.
Edit: Responded to the wrong person.
Interesting. Unpopular opinions, for sure, haha. I may just go test drive a couple of 987 S models, though, based on these thoughts. I really like the 981 looks and interior. But you may have a point about the gokart feel. Then again, I already have an ‘05 Mini Cooper S, so maybe I don’t need another gokart lol
My first thought as well, HOWEVER:
Hahaha
Tesla stores your extra set for free, too, which is really cool.
True for the Mustang GT at least. The GT350 and the M2 will probably get cross-shopped quite a bit, though. I know a decent amount of people who have cross-shopped the new Corvette with the M4
Great point about the carbon fiber & aluminum.
A friend of mine autocrosses an e9x M3 sedan. I can assure you that the nannies can be turned off, and those cars can be turned into oversteering death machines. The M2 will, like you said, be even more hoonable.
Have we talked on here before? What are the other reasons? I agree about the electric steering. Everything else in the 981 seems to be a big improvement to me, though. Namely, the interior and the appearance.
Not everyone, but just about everyone here. The Mustang GT can run laps around a 228i. I wouldn’t be surprised if the GT350 was just as stark of a performance difference.
I.....I like it....
I agree. Winters are overkill. But Summer Performance tires in 38F temps is a big old mistake. I’m not just harping on the safety of it, either. If you’re driving on Summers in temperatures that cold, you might as well just get Winter or AS anyways, because you’re destroying the summer tires, which is expensive.…
