Honda not having a shifter pisses me off. As a person used to a manual I feel like I have no place to rest my right hand when driving.

not if jatco had their way with it
yep, it goes ‘clunk’ followed by speed boat whine due to the CVT! Pure awesomeness.
Bullshit! Don’t you know if you don’t have a sophisticated torque-vectoring multi-terrain select AWD system and over 8 inches of ground clearance and a super-high seat height in a 5000Lb SUV in any of the states above Texas, you can LITERALLY DIE?!
Only if you have the sticker.
Based on how most Altimas I see are treated, this move will be a great test of durability.
But will we be able to feel when the VC-T kicks in, yo?

That disrespectful talk about Kei cars was the only part of this episode I really disliked. There are such amazing cars in that group and he dismisses them all as boring. Has he not heard about the S660, S600, Autozam, Cappuccino etc ffs.
I loved it right up to the point that they destroyed two perfectly good (and expensive) Japanese sports cars. Seriously, fuck them with a rusty cactus for that. It’s one thing if it’s a $1500 beater at the end of its lifespan, but do not fuck with expensive mint cars (especially a Sunburst Yellow RX-7)
I have a 2018 Mazda 3 with the 6-speed manual, it has radar cruise, automatic braking, and lane departure. It all works just fine. The owners manual has a note that the automatic braking may cause the engine to stall if the driver doesn’t push the clutch.
You forgot Crosstrek STI
Places the pitchfork into the back of his new WRX by opening the rear hatc... oh.
*sad trombone sound but with an FA20 instead of a trombone*
I didn’t realise that even with the introduction of the CVT (cue lightning flash and dramatic organ chord) that manuals still accounted for more than 80%. Great!
It’s the trombone of cars.
You should still be able to have emergency braking and lane departure with a manual transmission. Maybe your car stalls if it comes to a complete stop when emergency braking occurs, but that doesn’t sound like a deal breaker to me. I’d be fine with remembering that I’d need to clutch to keep from stalling. Adaptive…
