Like the article said, this engine makes sense in a PHEV as a backup power generator. I can't imagine the engine being very efficent by itself since it produces so little power, and it doesn't have a very high RPM to make it somewhat usable. The concept looks alright, but it's probably based of of the Corolla's platform. And exactly why would anyone be willing to pay more for a Corolla? This car would be better if it was RWD based like the other Lexuses.
@PlayerX: An R32 has V6 power and AWD. Unless Lexus is planning an F version of this car, it's not going to be anywhere as sporty as an R32. Besides, Lexus probably won't make a manual transmission available for this car.
