Unless they’re lying supposedly the increased gap in the DRS was a result of damage to the rear wing during qualifying on friday.  Thats why it was legal on one side of the wing and illegal on the other. (You’d assume that the DRS slot is uniform on both sides by law, they wouldnt modify it to be like that)
