@fiman16: While what you say is true (and I hate, hate, hate the mandatory use of hand sanitizer on cruise ships prior to entering dining areas), it does have its uses. I had forgotten a bottle when I last went camping and there was no hot/warm water. It would also have been useful on my hikes when we would stop on

When I was without a stapler, I'd bend the left corner and then tear out a little bit and fold that over. It's the same thing, but just by hand and free.

@loudguitars: It is. It's supposed to be 1% per year, which I did wrong. I chalk it up to Monday morning. $3000/yr = $250/mo (but we're doing $300/mo)

Oh score. I was going to buy one of these in late October and this just made my day.

The traditional advice was to put aside 1% of the value of your home for repairs/improvements per month.

@bbinder: Same for me. Our company calls them personal days, not sick days. You can lose them as a mental health (beach) day if you like.

All Google Voice is missing for me is the ability to swap my current cell # with my Google Voice # so I don't have to do a full # change.

$10.57 including tax (computer purchased after 6/8/2009 received $9.95 pricing on Snow Leopard). I replaced anything not running with freeware or I wasn't using the app anyhow. I'm using Rosetta for one command line app that I have to poke around to see if I can get via Fink

@Michael Singletary: I think people who ordered the full cost version prior to Wed. got it FedExed. I pre-ordered 8/6 using the $10 upgrade and it went USPS. It says it should be delivered by 9/1

In the mail today? Mine hasn't shipped yet. $10 upgrade ordered 8/6/2009.

Frappacino = dessert/treat

My bread machine has a butter setting. Pour in the cream and salt and let it go.

@Charax: Most US hotels encourage you to eat in your room. They want you to order room service and pay a 10% or more surcharge for the pleasure.

@Jon Gunter: In addition to what @Areia said, if you've ever eaten spaghetti bolognese, you've had a raw egg cracked on top of your pasta. If the pasta is warm enough, it'll partially cook the white, but not the yolk. It's part of the sauce.

It doesn't look like he put anything at the end of the bottle. He just used the neck as the spike and stuck it right in the dirt. Of course, I'm watching with the sound off...

@winshape: People tend to cut grass too short. It doesn't really matter on the type. Most lawn grass should be 3 inches.

The one thing keeping me off Google Voice (and I have an account) as a regular thing is I want to swap my current cell # with the # on the account.

Actually the MacBook purchase in early July was 'impulse' only because my Powerbook failed massively. I was planning on purchasing a new one in December regardless (it was on my 365 day list). :-)

@TheRedSeven: I agree. I'm not going down to Cape Cod just to get a sample. Very Lame.
