Take a look at the J-31 Chinese knockoff. Even it doesn’t have the garbage space for the “lift fan”, has two engines, and much better rearward visibility. Even the Chinese saw the many flaws in our design and made it that much better.

Apparently the airframes that they use in the Blue Hornets and Thunderbirds are some of the oldest in the fleet, since they aren’t actually seeing any actual combat time unless absolutely necessary. Any info on this Tyler?
