Bring an sleeping mask with you and earplugs. Both help you get a better sleep while on the plane. I second the socks. Also, bring your own blanket. I bring a cashmere one I got years and years ago, and it is light and warm, and it helps to snuggle up to something soft.
Maybe take a couple of flying lessons? They cost about the same as some therapists per hour and are a lot more fun.
