My husband was playing ping pong with the younger kids down the basement but I donât really need him to defend me. We talked to the kids in the car on the way home and they genuinely wanted to know why politics were so important to push- we explained they were obviously insecure with their poor choices but basicâŚ
Just here to vent: My husbandâs family had their Christmas dinner 2 days ago. They are very political and obnoxious but I have successfully avoided them for years and kept my focus on my family and kids. Keep it classy has been my personal motto.

I am sorry you have to go through that but food is such a basic human necessity and we really should stop making feeding the hungry so difficult.
The majority of the WIC cards at our local grocery are used by young MILITARY families. What a disgrace that as a country the pay of our bravest doesnât put food on the table for families.
Fun fact
We have a memorial baseball field dedicated to a young boy in our community who died from the FLU. At the ribbon cutting ceremony several years ago, his grief stricken mother made a request: Vaccinate your kids! Anytime someone local tells me they wonât vaccinate for some reason, I tell them what this mother requestedâŚ
