Not surrender?

What’s worse...

What I love is how quiet the Islam-defenders are on articles like this. It’s almost like their heads are busy up their asses or something.

I’m not dyed in the wool and am independent but generally very liberal on social issues and it bugs the hell out of me that in an attempt to feel more welcoming, we are stifling free thinking/critical thinking/free speech.

Educational privilege means that you had a functioning school system that allowed you the benefits of the possibility of going to an Ivy. You had teachers, counselors, etc that taught you enough that you could get in and gave you the knowledge of how to do so. This is lacking in tons of the schools in the US. By

It isn’t clear to me where the institution is mistreating them? What is the school providing to their white counterparts that they aren’t receiving? From my read, the majority of the complaints are lobbed at other students. Except most of the complaints aren’t illegal or even punishable.

Exactly...

Lets define racism in this country by pointing out the struggle of the poor, poor students of YALE???? and “micro-agressions”???? Are you fucking nuts - while we have a prison system and ghettos teem with a violently and exonomically oppressed permanent underclass? This is just gross. Millions and millions in prisons

Are you assuming that EVERY person of color is poor? That every single one who got into Yale was only able to go because of a scholarship? Because that is what it sounds like you are saying.

It does mean that they had same or similar opportunities as their white counterparts.

Does it automatically mean that because a white person said “All African drumming is shit!”, that this person is racist? I am genuinely curious, what if a Latino person had said this, would you also want with the same punishment? At the very least, the negative opinion about drumming shows immaturity and a lack of

I was also struck by this. Somehow if the administration and faculty don’t show visible emotion in a professional context they lack empathy or the ability to listen and consider what they’re hearing? I’m sure I’ll get slammed in the comments for this, but this sounded like a breach of decorum on the part of the

I dunno mate, there are a lot of poor and intelligent brown kids from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, etc who would be very happy for an opportunity to go to Yale. They would probably not shed tears because they felt marginalized. They would probably feel grateful, especially those of them on scholarships.

Ah, but you see I’m a Bernie supporter for those reasons exactly about Clinton.

Right, but when the people complaing about “privilege” have 10x the privilege of the average american they deserve ridicule.

Keep sending the message that minorities are not the same as other people and need to be treated with special kid gloves and constantly told that they are special.

If it’s Poe’s Law, you’re essentially saying that millenial protesters are beyond parody.

Grieved ... sobbed ... tears ... breakdowns

All of these students have educational privilege. Compare these middle/lower class kids to kids who are in poverty and had to drop out of their horrible high school. I am just asking people to recognize their privilege and stop being so blind.

“What they and others disregard is the dangerous implication that minorities at Yale should feel lucky”
