Yeah, it’s almost as if you have to think more deeply about what the phrase means instead of taking it at its most literal interpretation. Like a university student.

Another commenter said the attack happened very quickly and the victim didn’t even have time to fight back, so this waste of life lawyer is basically arguing that a short, fast assault isn’t assault. That because they snuck up on him and didn’t pin him down that they did nothing wrong. So I guess if someone sneaks up…

But it’s not our belief that this was a racially motivated crime. This was more of a vulnerable-victim motivated crime. I think it probably would have happened to anybody that was in the same kind of circumstances and mental state as the victim here.
