I tried to tell her that but she had some “reason” for why that was okay but honefunding wasn’t.

This is off-topic, but your plus-one thing reminded me:

I’m so glad that a lot of people donated. I have new, grown-up versions of everything I could ever need and I also volunteer at a cat shelter that I support with every fiber of my being. I keep thinking I’d ask people to donate to the shelter, but I fear absolutely no one would do so. You helped alleviate some of my

My current relationship is still pretty green, but with two of my best friends getting married in the next couple months (one this weekend!) I’ve been just randomly thinking a lot about wedding stuff, and that includes registries.

Seriously. Funding part of the honeymoon is a double-win: they get to do something they always wanted to do, and I get warm fuzzies from knowing I helped them achieve it.

I just posted on someone else’s comment that my mother and I got into a shouting match when I mentioned a honeyfund in passing, so I’m glad to see I’m not the only one with a mother who was so very offended with the idea of funding experiences, not items you’ll never use.

Darn tootin’!

I’m fond of debacle, m’self.

Milton: By the way we have a tradition in my family where we let the child name itself.

A city neighboring my hometown had a good many people with the last name Meekoff.

My mom said she went to school with not only an Ida Hogg, but also a Uda Hogg (they were sisters).

Ted Lieu (D-Cali.), member of the US House of Reps, is indeed owning it.

My friend walked into her reception with “Africa” blaring. It was a hit.

My stunt group did a routine to a punk version of “Barbie Girl” because we wanted to show we were not your typical cheerleaders.

As a person who frequently (and loudly) called out the “love songs” her teenage peers thought was ~soooo romantic~, I was a little embarrassed to have a teacher tell me what “Fortunate Son” was about in the tenth grade.

This just reminded me that when I was a teenager, my uncle—who helps design cars for one of the big auto manufacturers—had me test out a brand new car, just to see how it accommodated short women (I’m 5'1").
