Plus the whole lord grey stalker thing. I mean.

A school can’t simply deny they have completed all the requirement to graduate. They have to prove they haven’t completed all the requirements. And the necessary requirements for a highschool diploma are a set number of accredited hours and a passing grade at the requisite examinations. Which this girl has completed

I am not full of shit at all. Transcripts are property interests and as there’s no financial debt owed to the institution the institution has no cause to withhold the students property interest without a full hearing —as in a court of law- as this withholding deprives the student of the ability to further education

You’ve sat on a board. Well hot damn! I have taught grades 9-12 for three different school boards including a collegiate and I can guarantee you that once a student has received all their accredited hours and has passed their examinations, they can and will appeal any ridiculous nonsense a school chooses to hold over

I have absolutely worked in a school and absolutely know that the student can appeal any and all of those decisions legally and win because I have seen it done. Fuck I have seen entire fails contested and appealed. You have no idea what you are talking about.

No. You do not have to walk the stage to graduate. You have to take a required number of accredited course hours and pass your required examinations. The school has no grounds to withhold her transcripts. They may have grounds if she owes money to the institution, but they can’t hold transcripts because a graduated

Lol whatever you need to say to make yourself feel better. It’s not right but let’s not flout it. dont challenge what you don’t believe in. Don’t ever try to stand up to authority even when they are obviously in the wrong. These are NOT EVER the ideals that I raise my children to live by and if that’s how you live

They can't. It's not legal. Even the school where the student stripped during graduation wasn't allowed to hold her transcripts.

Are you kidding me. I am not the one saying that a teenage girl should have her diploma withheld over a pair of black sneakers because the corporate drones of the world don’t get to express themselves.

I don’t give a shit if you don’t believe me. and if I am being a dick sister we are even. Loosen your tie before your head pops off.

As I said I haven’t found my style of dress to have hampered my ability to find employment in either of my fields, even in more conventional school boards—because my credentials and experience spoke for themselves and frankly, I had more than one board waiting for the opportunity to interview me when I chose to

*All* of My employers have. As I said. I have never walked out of an interview without being offered the job and I don't do business casual.

I doubt that. Really. I have family who work for Fortune 500’s and they don't kick people out for wearing sneakers.

Lol. Your point is rather long winded and fails to take into account that the majority of employers are more likely to give a shit about their prospective employees credentials, personality, and their ability to carry on a proficient interview than they are about the sneakers on their feet. As I have already

I have a degree in fine arts and education and I've worked in both fields

I’ve found that just being myself works just fine. And I haven't walked away from an interview with being offered the job yet.

And they ignored the rule specifically as let her walk the fucking stage wearing the shoes without mentioning that they didn’t pass inspection!!!! It’s not that hard a concept. She passed the inspection and then they reneged. She’s not whinging about that here. You are.

She did point that out. Several times. Did you not read the article.

I graduated from a top ranking university with two degrees concurrently and a 3.9 gpa in both fields. I’ve found people don’t really give a shit what I wear because I can both think and do. If your interviewer is looking at your shoes while you are talking to them, you have bigger problems than what's on your feet.

The catholic schools here are just another branch of the public system. The only difference is there's bibles.
