Meanwhile, over 7.4 billion people each day AREN’T murdered.

I’m gonna agree to disagree and move on. Have a good weekend.

what if your television made you pay per minute instead of just having the service and you paid for the ads you were receiving?

Pocket sand is really hard on my phones.

That’s not what Mobileye CEO is saying at all. He is saying Tesla is “pushing the envelope in terms of safety” as in not meeting a good standard of safety.

Aaaaand I’m fucked.

I agree both that that was a major takeaway from this interview and that that seems to be Lee’s position, at least. And that it’s a pretty reasonable stance. We’ll see - again, as Lee says, this will take time - whether they mean it or not.

Writing journalism =/= writing code.

Yep. I don’t know if this wasn’t explained to the writers before this interview or what, but they are coming off badly in my mind now that I know both sides of the story.

I’m not sure you read the whole interview. There are very real implications in the events of these past weeks and months, and in the discussion posted above, to how these writers continue to conduct themselves going forward. If you wrote some code that made you personally the target of potential litigation, you’d want

Yeah, why would someone want to defend some other company’s lawsuits? It doesn’t make sense. My understanding of their take is, “you are welcome to make new messes, but we aren’t cleaning up your old ones.” I realize i just said what you said.

So the six post basically boil down to “Univision’s condition for making this deal was that they don’t inherit someone else’s mess. But if we make our own mess going forward, we’ll fight it out.”

Maybe I’m really baked right now (I am), but it seems like JK doesn’t understand that Univision bought them with the express position that they are dumping the liabilities (which is a fucking sweet deal). It isn’t a question of integrity or lack of integrity, it’s a question of whether keeping those posts up will

Why are you telling them what they need to do. You sold out as a software developer, doing whatever somebody tells you in exchange for money. Why does that mean they need to sell out as journalists? Just because you did?

That has nothing to do with clicks. Clicks are the only reason they’re still alive. I don’t think Universe would pay 9 figures for a set of poorly read blogs. They get plenty of clicks.

That’s...not at all correct. They’re in this spot because they got sued into oblivion. You have completely missed the mark.

TIGHAR has gone there numerous times and come back with a new story each time.

I’d much prefer that they put names in some sort of magical flaming cup and let the cup decide who would run for that party.

And there is why I am no longer a Democrat. The moment I started speaking out that the direction of the state/national party was going the wrong way. I was told that my opinion was worthless, and to “Go Vote Green, Libertarian, or better yet just don’t vote.”
