Not many people have seen How I Live Now (thankfully, it bombed) so I'm not surprised that people don't know how horrible she is at playing American. Nothing against her as an actress, but she's not good at that one thing.

I found it rather clichéd and juvenile, and often inadvertently hilarious (the supposedly horrifying delusions came off as very goofy). There was an unnecessary amount of vomit and a lot of Orientalism as well (Vietnamese characters seem to be part of Chinese culture sometimes). It was middling at best for me.
