I’m impressed by how much narrating that guy can do while he’s clearly stuffed in a locker by some jock from a 90's teen sitcom.

The actual rover plans and technical information about the instruments can be JPL intellectual property, and also export-controlled information from a government standpoint. The rovers do technically run on nuclear fuel.

There were multipe Raspberry Pis floating around the facilities when I was there, and from what I remember hearing, it was on the network and got breached.

I was working there, on the Mars 2020 mission during that timeframe. We knew about at least one Raspberry Pi hack and did spend time tracking down and disconnecting others. So while the report may have been published recently, I distinctly recall this being talked about, with sensitive rover-related data being stolen.

Not to be THAT guy, but is the sword in question the one they walked around with for a while in the video? Because that’s...some kind of not “samurai” sword, what with the narrow, curved tip. The deep curve in the back can be attributed to stylistic choice, so that gets a pass, but nothing about that blade geometry

Harrison Ford put down his joint for this crap?

Was just in Tokyo again this past week, and I gotta tell you, they get pretty assertive when they see even an inch of space left on the rush hour trains. You’d think the passive, polite thing to do is wait for the next train, but nope. They push in ass-first, and make the rest of you go full sardine can. My arms ended

*squints* I’m sure that’s a much more noticeable update at full HD resolution.

The wider FOV would definitely be noticeable to me. I wonder if the LCD will have its own drawbacks, similar to why OLED is supposedly better for TVs, with their self-illumination and all. Personally, I don’t find the Vive Pro to have much in the way of screen-door effect. It has god rays out the ass sometimes, but

The lenses and pixel density of the displays are supposedly the culprits there. Some people have experimented with lens mods that help get rid of the effect, but I’ve heard eye strain is worse with those mods. Hopefully Valve figured that out a little better.

Didn’t Lucky Palmer publish an article about why the Rift S was an unfortunate turn because of the decreased refresh rate?

Corrected, I meant refresh rate. And yeah, anything under 90hz is supposedly a nice way to get motion sickness. My initial problem with VR was the traditional motion sickness problem, which is the disconnect between my eyes telling me that I was falling/moving quickly and my body/inner ear not actually moving. After a

So basically similar specs to a Vive Pro, but higher refresh rate? Also sounds like better lenses, but people have been modding the Vive’s lenses since it came out. I’m glad they’re letting people piecemeal the whole thing though, because I really want those knuckle controllers, and it’s not so much better than the

Ah yes, further proof that 2019 truly is the year of sci-fi dystopia.

I jumped ship during, or at the end of season 6. It was clear by then that the show didn’t have a clear direction, and they were only making more because it was a runaway hit. I mean, there’s a callback, and there’s constantly going, “EH?! EH?! YOU REMEMBER DANGER ZONE?! PHRASING?!” And it happened every goddamn

It can be both things! But also, I’ve seen that theory around, and think it’s just silly enough to be something Abrams and Kennedy try to pull off. It’s like when everyone was asking, “who is the last Jedi,” and they were like, “it’s Luke.”

Regardless of how he manifests himself to the characters, I’m still putting my money on “The Rise of Skywalker” being about how Anakin came to exist, and the ripple effects it caused, and how it was part of Palpatine’s ultimate plan. Abrams is out there saying how this has to wrap up the entire saga, and well...that’s

My running theory is that it’s about the gang discovering the secret origins of the Skywalker clan, which is to say, how Anakin was magically conceived by Force rape, and how Emperor Palpatine orchestrated the whole thing.

Ah yes, I see we’re going to get that long-awaited explanation of how Anakin was magically conceived by the Force, except it was Palpatine’s plan all along, hence the title, “The Rise of Skywalker.”

I’m aware of his DVD intro where he jokingly says “don’t watch this,” but I find it funny how Victory is extremely representative of all the things you’d expect from a Tomino series. You’ve got your mostly white Gundam that is actually, for real this time, mass-produced and not that special, you’ve got your brown
