I've been pretty disappointed with Archer the past couple of seasons. I'm going to say this show's biggest enemy is predictability. Actually, I think continuity is hurting it even worse. How many times do I have to see Pam's back tattoo, which was a great one-time joke, but now just seems like a burden the writers got

I think Comicsfix is working on something like this. They're primarily indie and small press comics.

The cat island is waaaaaay out of the way, in Ishinomaki. I tried to go up there, but they had canceled the ferry trips due to strong winds. I'd definitely call before making that trip again.

That seems like it could get spotty on how you "prove" that you made $3000 on an independently published novel. For my comic, I just show up to a convention and shuck my questionably-written wares. Would I need to keep track of all of my sales and provide some kind of proof? Are comics even eligible?

Whoa, that's crazy! People still use Livejournal!

There's a scaffold technology for regrowing teeth. I don't think it's made it to market yet, but I read about it within the past year or so.

Well, the claim from all the locals was that it was "better for indie comics" in general. The problem really was that Comikaze came and tried to crush them. Comikaze is the last weekend in October, and LBCC used to be like...two weekends later. The crowd wasn't huge, and my guess is that Comikaze wiped out their

Yeah, Tor definitely had the usability thing down. I2P and Freenet are a pain in the ass to do anything with, and not particularly speedy. Plus, I'm sure most potential admins of these sites are still spooked about Silk Road and all the other "questionable" hidden services that got busted.

Sure, we could build colonies, but there's still the problem of getting people off planet in large enough numbers to occupy them. I vote space elevator for that purpose.

My experience in 2013 was that Long Beach sucked a bag of dicks, but this was while Comikaze was still just a couple of weeks before it.

Not featured are the all too real monsters that Oklahomans deal with: racism, homophobia, obesity, teen pregnancy, and the fact that there ain't shit to do as a teenager besides drink or get pregnant.

There's actually another level to it besides just being wanted, or having a bounty on your head. Your reputation in whatever system you're committing crimes in will drop lower and lower, and at "Unfriendly," you'll get interdicted by space police all the damn time, even if you don't have a bounty. At "Hostile," cops

Just throwing it out there, that if this sort of thing fascinates you, Masaki Kobayashi's "Seppuku" (known as "Hara-kiri" in the west) is mandatory viewing.

I keep telling my friend that I REALLY, REALLY want for the entire last season of the Simpsons to be set in the "Holidays of Future Passed" future. Give us flashbacks of Bart and Lisa's relationships, their kids, etc. The last episode should end with Homer getting wrapped up in some sort of time travel device that

I just put "Rocket Man" on continuous repeat. Up until recently, I led a dogfighting-free existence in Elite.

C'moooon space elevators. Let's build some O'Neill cylinders as colonies while we're at it, and make them generation ships.

Bashcraft is my favorite.

Fra Cry?

Stop this Attack on Titan, I want to get off!
