It's low voltage. If we used 220 as an outlet voltage this wouldn't be a problem. 

I have 30+ years of experience in manufacturing. Everything from plastics to metal casting. The tollerans are completely doable, just not in the scale of a production vehicle. 

Ehhh. The charger may or may not be occupied. And I double that mileage about three days a week. And the weekends are open to no driving to maybe a few hundred.

Our insurance company (and the owners as well) would have a stroke if I just plugged a charger into the dryer outlet. Depending on the age of the house you rent the wiring is probably woefully under sized, or of the wrong stranding.

50 miles two days a week and about 100-125 on days my kids have stuff. It's 220 or nothing for me.
