No, they absolutely do beat on them. Even mundane cars that people rent get the crap beat out of them. The last job I had as a mechanic serviced the cars from the local Hertz. Mostly Audi A6 and S8s. And those things ate through brakes (and transmissions) at a frightening rate.

Have you rented a Lamborghini in Vegas by chance? I guarantee they hit their top speed a few times a week, and spend most of their lives bouncing off of their revlimiter between stoplights.
