I live in Phoenix and grew up outside of Philadelphia. I’m as far as can be removed from a redneck.

I’ve never heard the argument that raping a child or an adult is better or worse because of their age or weight.

And if all that happens are you also in favor of dropping all road taxes for all vehicles, or just a select few?

So you have six “vehicles” you ride on the street, but don't pay taxes for? And what about the zero cars people.

Who?

Well that's why I have insurance. I know my insurance will be sueing his insurance for the repairs.

See that intersection is shit. There's always going to be stuff like this when you use "car roads" as cycle lanes. There should be some kind of path just for bikes that goes over or under things like this.

And I just got hit by a bike (completely) blowing a stop sign. Luckily he was wearing (most) of his safety gear. So he walked (well limped) away. Luckily where I live bikes are considered vehicles. So when he tried to sue me (well my insurance) it was basically the judge saying, you blew through a stop sign, you

Okay. Now take that argument and apply the mentally to pedestrians. Now unless you are willing to have those same laws (for vehicles) applied to bikes. You don’t get to a part of the discussion.

Oh I completely agree about coexisting. I just think we should make bicycle only roads, at least in big cities that come close to predating cars. Old city Philadelphia is a perfect example. There’s zero reason to allow cars on those roads.

See I work in a hazardous environment. At almost any moment there’s about half a dozen things that could main or kill me. There needs to be safety protocols put in place. But if the individuals aren’t following those protocols, it’s the individuals fault. You can add more protocols, but if they aren’t followed, then

But I'm sure there's any number of sanctimonious jackasses that would happily take pictures of the offended and send them in. Also New York is getting pretty heavy into the facility recognition cameras, so there's that.

This is like arguing that raping an adult isn’t as bad as raping a child.

It's Vancouver. If it wasn't completely half-assed I'd be surprised.

Have you by chance ridden in New York lately. All those bikes (and cars) blowing through lights. All those bikes (and cars) ignoring stop signs. All those bikes (and cars) breaking the speed limit. Especially in those school zones.

Oh my God my spell correct boned me. My god you are so observant.

I thought they just funneled the funding from Alberta. Everyone else seems to be doing it.

But then you become the bicycle version of the asshole covering their license plate so the cameras can’t mail them tickets.

And how would you suggest we pay for all this new stuff? Another restaurant tax. If you want the population to use bikes more there’s zero chance there won’t be a bunch of taxes added.

Ate you high or do you ride a bicycle in New York?
