My families was a 77 country squire in that faded banana yellow with the wood stickers and flip open headlights. Now that car is just as bad as this thing (in many ways worse) but I really would loved an old squire.

I LOVED that movie as a kid. It was always on channel 48 (I think), I must have watched it 100 times. I found a VHS copy of it in a thrift store when I was working in Australia in the late 90s. HOLY SHIT! was it bad.

I was a mechanic when these turds raomed the streets. I’ll bet you that shimmy was caused by either a separation in the bonding/ spot welds in the firewall/ engine compartment sheet metal. Or maybe the subframe was not welded correctly.

Im sure someone is nostalgic for this car. I’m sure you remember spending your childhood in that back seat playing with your hot wheels and trying to get the drivers behind you to wave back. I’m sure you’re thinking, hey this would be a good car to drive around ironically and take to radwood.

You do know the internet exists and I can track the brown outs and their time, right.

I would say driving down the steps of the Philadelphia art museum in one of my Jeeps was pretty stupid. But driving back up it was really stupid.

Did they move April or something. If this thing had $10k in $20s sitting in the back seat it wouldn't be worth this much.

Mehh. This is one of the things you deal with when you work at places like this.

If it were a better brake they would be using them or everything that’s made to a price point.

True. But taking the rear wheel off of a drum brake motorcycle (and you will a few times a year) is a pain in the butt.

You (kinda) had me until rear drum. You can buy any number of Chinese clones of this bike with more displacement and a rear disc.

How?

Well let’s just keep an eye on those death tolls, and keep counting them after this whole fiasco blows over.

Nope. And it's not just the title that does it. It's just simply not worth it.

Some supply chains are still in crisis. I just ordered parts from Australia for work, maybe a month ago, and they got here (at the building) this week. And they had to make the part, not just take it off of a shelf

I know. I lived there during the Giuliani years. And as much as a complete walking dick herpe that guy was (is) he got shit done.

That maintenance going up in price and a lack of qualified workers mean the techs will be making much more money.

Covid? Do you really think Californias handling of COVID was anything short of a disaster?

That is weak, weak, weak ass argument man (or woman)

Maybe in Texas or any blue state where the Republicans have any amount of power. But nothing about this cluster fuck can be blamed on the Republicans. Nor can it really be blamed on the Democrats. It's just a bunch of inept morons make promises that they know they can't keep because it keeps the focus off of their
