Gotta give you the heads up if you are shopping for a new car for a NEW baby. The “Pumpkin Seat” you use for the first year or so is a challenge on its own, but then once they get to the “rear facing convertible”... Its MUCH bigger! I could get by with the pumpkin sitting in the middle seat of my S4, but I actually

Protip for the kiddos: Contribute 20% to your 401k as soon as you get your first job that allows it. You likely have nothing to compare it to, therefore there is no feeling of lesser income due to investment. Life happens, and you simply adjust it down to 10% for a few months for a boost in take-home, but try to get

Still don’t get it... 400HP via front wheel drive and given its a volvo, probably a latitudinal layout and then, 200 HP via elec motors on the rear. 600HP is alot, but I don’t trust it to be nearly as engaging/connected as most of its competition.

I wonder if they showcase this because it lacks on the track? According to the previous article, it is ~400 HP to the front purely from engine/trans and ~200HP to the rear only from electric motor. While big numbers, its still 66% FWD biased, and the weight split is biased toward the rear.

Still a rebadged Camry... I wouldn’t hold out too long for “something something with eight cylinders and two turbochargers.”

Totally agree... Build them into highways to start and ONLY allow autopilot use on the highway (I’d be curious the % of people who use it off highway today). Highways have fences and barriers which keep atleast pedestrians away as well.   Lastly, Program the car to require full manual operation to take an exit off of

M3... ok. But the 2 series is pretty awful from the back.

Really curious about this... the VC mechanics seem to be too much complexity. They are basically adding moving parts the to already moving parts (piston/crank/rods) which results in even more movement for those parts! Would have been curious if this could have been implemented with a variable head instead.

Most impressive thing to me is that it actually looks like an adult car. Like a WRX without the vape culture. This would open up a huge market in the US for all of the young professionals that don’t want to look like they deliver pizzas.

I had a Tacoma where the transfer case wouldn’t engage. I ended up taking it apart to find that a simple pressure pin had sheered in the shift linkage inside the case. Its my favorite story about how I spent 6 hours to replace a 5 cent part. MAYBE IT CAN BE YOURS TOO

+1 for the 20% 401k Contribution in the early years. I did 20% for about 10 years, only dropping down to 10% here and there if I needed the temporary cash influx. Though it is now at a fixed 10% since my wife quit working so we can start a family.    That early contribution has my balance high enough that it now grows

Any chance its because a turbo version would be too competitive with the future supra’s base model?

Exactly... the title pic is pretty much an M5

It wasn’t the tensioners, but the phenolic guides that snaked the chains (yes, plural) all around to drive all the accessories in the back. They would wear after ~100k miles and add slack. Sourced: Owned/Loved one until I realized it was a time bomb. Now I just miss it like crazy.

It may even drop the value below stock... (see Nice Price/Crack Pipe if you want some examples). I have only done an ECU tune to my A6 (13' 3.0T), I’ve wondered if I should even mention it when I go to sell. Is it a better car now, yes... Would your average buyer notice... probably not.

Is that a TOASTER OVEN? I get that its supposed to look like the horizon indicator on airplanes, but what the heck purpose wound that have on a car sitting on the road... so, might as well have some pizza rolls for the trip!

True, GM would be catching up with them on the full size, but they came out with a Diesel Colorado in 2015 or 2016, which I believe ford/FCA are playing catchup through bringing back the Ranger and the weird WranglerTruck that wasn’t what we wanted. Just a difference in product focus between the 3.

It depends...

I just remember riding with my grandma in her 84' caddy... the softest red velure seats... like 6 ash trays... suspension so squishy you could run over a person without spilling your cocktail. Kids will never experience that again.

One to add... Walking Dead gets me with this one every week and any other post-apocalyptic movie... Gas goes bad!
